Thesis Hotel
Accommodations will be made at the Thesis Hotel, conveniently located near our Coral Gables campus at 1350 South Dixie Highway. The University of Miami will reserve and cover the cost of rooms on Monday (6/23) and Tuesday (6/24) nights. You do not need to make a reservation for these dates. Participants are responsible for any additional nights at the hotel. If your travel plan require extra nights, please contact the hotel directly to make arrangements.

Travel & Transportation
Each participant is responsible for their own travel to and from the conference. While in session, the University of Miami will provide transportation between meetings, as needed. The conference will commence at the Thesis Hotel on Monday, June 23rd at 12:00pm (EST). Please plan to go directly to the hotel, where lunch will be provided. Subsequent sessions will be held at the main Coral Gables Campus and the Rosenstiel Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science Campus.

The nearest airport is Miami International Airport (MIA), located roughly 5 miles from the Coral Gables campus, which is about a 25-minute drive without traffic.
The next closest airport is Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), situated 32 miles from campus, which is a 1-hour and 15-minute drive without traffic.
Ground Transportation
Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft are available for pickup at both airports. Please note that South Florida traffic can be extremely heavy, especially during rush hour. This can significantly increase expected travel times.
Miami-Dade Metrorail
The Metrorail Orange Line connects the Miami International Airport (Miami International Airport Station) to the University of Miami’s Coral Gables Campus (University Station). This is a 45-minute train ride, costing $2.25 each way, with easy credit card swipe payment.
It's a 10-minute walk from University Station to the Thesis Hotel. If you choose to walk to the hotel, please use the pedestrian bridge located at Mariposa Court to cross South Dixie Highway (US Highway 1). Schedules and further information are available on the Miami-Dade Metrorail website.
